Emergency Housing

CAADC is the primary provider of emergency housing to homeless families and individuals in Delaware County. Shelter is provided at the following sites:

  • Life Center of Eastern Delaware County (single individuals)
  • Wesley House Shelter (families and single females)
  • Family Management Center (families)

CAADC also offers limited short-term emergency housing placements for homeless families and vulnerable single adults while waiting on shelter vacancies or alternative housing options.

Homeless Prevention including Rental Assistance

To prevent the loss of existing housing or to quickly re-house an already homeless household, qualified Delaware County residents can receive financial assistance to avoid eviction or to move into a new residence. To apply for financial assistance, please come in for an assessment at our office located at 1414 Meetinghouse Road in Boothwyn, PA 19061. Assessments are conducted Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (no appointments required).

 

Transitional Housing

Transitional Housing bridges the gap from emergency shelter to permanent housing. Participants receive case management and support services as they transition towards self-sufficiency.

Rapid Rehousing

The Rapid Rehousing Program provides financial and housing assistance to homeless families and individuals in Delaware County in an effort to quickly rehouse them.

Services through the Rapid Rehousing Program include housing identification, financial assistance including move-in costs and short-term rental assistance, and support services as the family or individual stabilize in permanent housing.

Veterans Assistance

CAADC provides the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program for Veteran families experiencing a housing crisis. The goal of the program is to provide supportive services and/or housing assistance to income eligible Veteran families living in or transitioning to permanent housing.

Rental Housing

CAADC owns and manages over 250 affordable housing units in Delaware County. Our properties include Flower Manor Apartments, Darby Court Apartments and Sharon Hill Commons.

Home Ownership Program

CAADC’s Home Ownership Program helps low- and middle-income persons to buy a home of their own. CAADC first buys a property and renovates the homes. Once the house is completely rehabilitated it is then sold to income-eligible families.
